Well our third year has come and gone and as we approach the beginning of the forth year we have exciting meetings planned, for the membership. We have almost all of the meetings booked with sponsors and speakers though we don’t have the exact lectures as of yet, but we shall keep you informed as we go along. From the beginning meeting in September which we have Digital Optical Labs which is a division of Optical Distributor Group we have sponsors the like of Vistakon, Essilor, Zeiss, Maui Jim, Younger Optics, Hirsch Optical Labs, Balester Optical Labs, American Medical Optics and a few more to be named. We shall have exciting Speaker’s , from Barry Santini, Robert Russo, Ray Dennis, Dr, Joe Bacotti, Herb Fletcher, Barbara Welty, Jim Reavey and many more to come. At our second meeting in October, we shall have Claudia Alexander the Secretary to the Advisory Board in Ophthalmic Dispensing, to answer all of the hard questions that we have for her. We promise you a great year in both education and marketing and selling events. We thank all our past sponsors and the reps for the companies that have supported us through the first three years and hopefully they will continue to support one of the great optical organizations in New York State if not the US also. In addition to all of the activities mentioned above, we are also planning a return to Vision Expo East in April as well as having our charitable recipients down to meetings in the spring time, as we look forward to greeting the members of the Interfaith Nutrition Network, VOSH New York and the Children’s Vision Collation to our meetings.
In order to carry out our ambitious program we need you ..That’s right you Mr. & Mrs. Optician to give some time and energy to help in our goal to make OUR organization even stronger than it is. It is up to you to help the organization grow and prosper with bringing in new members and getting advertising for the Newsletter.
